Every 2 years in Texas, Barbers & Cosmetology licensees are required to complete 4 hours of an approved continuing education course. The Education must contain one hour of Sanitation, one hour of Human Trafficking education and two hours of cosmetology related topics. Dovera courses satisfy and is approved for all Texas Cosmetology Operator, Esthetician, Manicurist, Esthetician/Manicurist and Eyelash Extension and Barbers. A licensee who has held a cosmetology license for at least 15 years is required to complete only two hours of Continuing Education.
